What do these warnings mean?  How should we prepare ourselves?  

Included in the signs that Jesus was talking about, what event must happen first?  What does that mean to us today?  

The view of the temple from the Mount of Olives is panoramic; but what do you think the disciples were thinking about when they asked about the signs?  

Jesus’ prophecy on the temple was fulfilled when the Romans destroyed it in A.D. 70 (see also Matthew 24:2).  What significance is there when Jesus talks about the stones?

Herod the Great had expanded the temple to about double the size of the Solomonic temple.  It was majestic.  Find a bible encyclopaedia and check out the illustration of this so-called Second Temple.  

What does Jesus declare himself to be in this teaching in the temple?  What does this imply?

One of the scribes, a theological scholar, came up with another question. What do you think is his intention in asking this question?  And how does Jesus answer him?

What does Jesus teach us about marriage and relationships here?  

The Sadducees now come with another challenge to test Jesus’ perspective on the Mosaic law and the belief in the resurrection.  What are they ignorant about?
