What does it take to finish well as Christians? Are we committed to fight the good fight, finish the race and keep the faith, whilst looking forward, as Paul, towards heaven and meeting our Lord?

Are we sometimes guilty of picking and choosing what we want to hear from God and His Word?  How can we not compromise sound doctrine and the foundation and authority of God’s Word in our church and lives?

Are there ways that God may be speaking to you to use His Word to teach, rebuke, correct or train others?

How can we continue in what we have learned and have become convinced of, specifically with regards to the gospel and the Scriptures?

Are you facing any form of persecution because of your Christian faith?  How is Paul’s example an encouragement to those who are persecuted?

What strikes you about Paul’s last words in his letter to Timothy?

When is the last time you asked for something in Jesus’ name (according to His will and purpose)?

Does this mean that as long as we have faith, we can do greater things than Jesus?  Why or why not?

Even Jesus recognized that, “it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.” (v10b)  How is God, who is living in you, doing his work in and through your life?

Jesus is not only the way to heaven, but the way to the Father.  How can we draw near to God the Father?
