What virtues are we encouraged to nurture?  How will those virtues positively affect our lives and relationships?

What is one major struggle with sin in your personal life and with ungodliness in your work and family life?  What does God’s faithfulness mean in those struggles?

How would you describe the quality of your relationship with God?  Which areas of your life do you not pray at all or talk about least with God?  Are you abiding in him in those areas?

What calling and commitment does the Christian life involve?  Which aspect needs working on in your discipleship?

Paul’s final words are of committing his flock to two unchangeable, reliable powers: what are they?  He also left behind a legacy of godly integrity and hard work (vv33-34).  What will you leave behind when you finish your ministry?

Why did Paul instruct the elders to “keep watch” and “be on your guard”?  What did he anticipate might happen after his departure? What was he urging them to do?

Why is it important to proclaim “the whole will of God”?  Do you encourage your pastors to do this?

Paul was compelled to go on to Jerusalem.  Knowing what lay ahead, why didn’t he avoid going there?

How did Paul serve during his ministry?  How would you describe such a ministry?  How did he relate to Jews and Greeks? (v21).  Why is this significant in pastoral ministry?

How would you describe Paul’s relationship with a) the elders?  b) the flock he cared for?
