Judges 18:1-6

The five Danite warriors who spied out the land of Laish certainly knew about Micah’s idolatry (v14). By engaging the Levite’s service, what does it show about them? How did the people of Laish suffer as a result (vv27-28)?

Judges 17:7-13

How did Micah interpret the arrival of the Levite who became his priest? In your judgement, would you say he was disobedient or deluded?

Judges 17:5-6

Micah was also a very religious man whose action betrayed his devotion.  How do you think his sons might turn out spiritually?  Why?  (Note: verse 6 is a constant refrain in the Book of Judges!)

Micah’s mother was clearly a follower of the LORD. Yet her action of making idols betrayed her devotion.  What possible explanation is there for the inconsistency of her devotion?
