John described his vision of the “son of man”. It was glorious! Meditate on the glory of God revealed in Jesus Christ. Praise and worship him!

Who did John see standing among the seven golden lampstands which represent the seven churches (v20)? Is there such a thing as a “Christ-less” church no matter how imperfect it may be?

What did God command John to do? How did John receive the messages that he was to pass on?

How did John introduce himself to the readers? What might Christians be going through in John’s days?

God is “the Alpha and the Omega”. What confidence and assurance does this knowledge of God give you? Why?

Will anybody miss Jesus when he comes again? How will people react when he comes? How can we prepare ourselves today for that eventual day of Jesus’ return?

What attributes of Jesus are proclaimed? What has he done for us? Who are we now in Christ?

One who is blessed by God’s word has done three things with it. What are they? Have you been doing them consistently?

What two things did John see in the revelation? What did he do with them? What does God want you to testify about him to others as well?

Whose words did John receive? How did it reach him? What was the purpose of the revelation? Should we obey God urgently or casually?
