Mark 12:36

Jesus quoted Psalm 110:1 which could be a “royal” psalm pointing to the enthronement of a king. At the same time it may also have been linking the king to the coming Messiah who would reign like a king over Israel.  Reflect on how Jesus linked these two concepts together and what it meant for the people at that time.

Mark 12:35

Mark 12:28-34

Summarise the passage in your own words.  Think about the implications of the main points of this passage in your daily living?

Mark 12:34

Mark 12:32-33

Do you agree with the questioner’s conclusion that loving one’s neighbour was more important than offering “all burnt offerings and sacrifices”?

Mark 12:31

How did Jesus expand the concept of loving God with that of loving humankind as He linked Leviticus 19:18 to Deuteronomy 6:5?

Mark 12:28

Do you think the questioner was serious with his question or just asking for asking’s sake?  Are you asking because you really want to know the answer?
