Proverbs 2:1-5
These verses challenge us to make wisdom our priority. What promise is made to those who diligently pursue godly wisdom?

Proverbs 1:20
Wisdom is likened to a lady who calls out in the city. What are the consequences of ignoring her pleas? (vv24-27)
Proverbs 1:10-18
It speaks about being enticed. What does the passage warn against? How should we then conduct ourselves when we are asked to join in such activities? (see Psalm 1:1-3)
Proverbs 1:8-19
It sounds like the advice is coming from parents. Why is it important to listen to our parents? Can parents be wrong? What would you do if it was clear that your parents’ advice was not in line with Scripture?

What sort of “fear” is referred to here? What contrast is given in this verse? Which part describes you more?

What do you think is Solomon’s general purpose for writing these proverbs? (Bible scholars think Solomon was not the only contributor, others are also mentioned eg Ch 30 and 31).

How can you tell if a person belongs to Christ Jesus? Paul gives 2 characteristics – what are they? Is this true of yourself?
Gal 5:22,23
Note that Paul refers to “the fruit of the Spirit” (singular not plural). All nine virtues should be seen in the believer’s life. Are they all seen in yours?

In Christ we know God and are known by Him. What greater privilege can we have during our earthly lives than this? Thank God for this great blessing.
