What is the significance of Moses’ action? What did Aaron and Hur contribute to it? From this example, how important it is to have support in one’s ministry?  

What is peculiar about the way in which Israel gained this victory? Who led Israel in battle?

What were the two things Moses decided to do? How are these two things linked?

After hearing of what God had done for Israel, why do you think the Amalekites still decided to attack Israel? Did this matter?

Despite the people’s constant complaining, what did God do for them? Take this time to reflect on the action of God in this passage and in Isaiah 53:4.

Desperate times produce desperate people. However, knowing what God had already done for them, what do you think they should have done to respond to the situation? Would you have responded differently?
