Exodus 4:29-31

The Israelites bowed down and worshipped when they realized God’s concern for them and their misery.  What is your response knowing that God is equally concerned for you?

Exodus 5:15-19

Was God evidently present with His people when they suffered or did they have to fend for themselves? In such times, what promises of God must they/we hold on to?

Exodus 4:24-26

Why did God want to kill Moses? This passage not only underlines the seriousness of disobeying God, it also shows God’s mercy as He did not immediately kill Moses.

Essentially, what were the Israelites going into the desert to do? What kind of reaction would Moses and Aaron expect from Pharaoh?

The staff was Moses’ assurance of God’s presence and power.  Have you been able to outgrow the need for physical or temporary assurances in order to trust in God alone as you grow in faith?
