Exodus 1:11-14

Read the same verses as above. Why do you think historically persecution accomplishes the opposite of what the governments intended? What does this show us about God?  

Exodus 1:11-14

How did the Egyptians make the Israelites suffer? What was the Israelites’ situation under a king who had forgotten Joseph’s role in saving the country? (cf. Genesis 41)

Exodus 1:1-7

Was it in God’s plan for these Israelites to move out of the Promised Land to Egypt? What does this tell us about how God works in our lives and in the world? (cf. Genesis 45:7; 46:1-4)

1 John 2:4

A person is lying to himself and everyone else when he says he knows and loves God, but does not keep God’s commandments. In what ways do we show God’s love by keeping His commandments?
