And fear came on all as they saw how Zechariah was healed suddenly. Do we stand in awe and holy fear of the Lord when God moves in a remarkable manner?

In spite of our rush to be ready for Christmas, it is so easy not to be ready for the Christ. Are we prepared for the Lord, and His work and will in our lives?

Luke 1:57-58

Elizabeth, the elderly, barren woman, has given birth. What an amazing sign of God’s mercy to her and Zechariah. May this also serve as a timely reminder to us of the steadfast love of the Lord and how His mercy never ends.

The joyful arrival at the \”House of the Lord\” reflects our hunger to worship and praise God. Our attitude towards Him in worship determine our view of Him.

Even though she was pregnant with a long-awaited son, Elizabeth rejoiced with Mary instead of becoming envious of her, whose son would be even greater than her own. Will we rejoice with others, realising that God uses His people differently?
