The sins of others can make us feel superior and smug. What are the warning in vv3&4?

Verse 2 says “Carry each other’s burdens…”  Suggest some ways we can do that in our relationships with other believers.  What needs to happen before we allow others to carry our burdens?

“Why is it that churches filled with people who say they have been saved by grace can become such ungracious people?” (John Ortberg). Gal 5:13-15, for how we should behave forwards each other.

Verse 1 tells us that you are to do two things if you know of someone who is caught in a sin. What are they and why are both important?

How then will we grow spiritual fruit (vv22-23) and live out what Paul means by “Christ formed in us”(4:19)? 

What are the “acts of sinful nature” (vv19-21)? Explain why those “living like this will not inherit the kingdom of God (v21)?”

What does Paul mean by “gratifying the desires of the sinful nature (v16)\”?

How do we serve one another in love and not use our freedom to indulge in the sinful nature?

What is Paul’s tone here and why did the issue move him so strongly(vv7-12)?

What is at stake here (vv1-4) and what does Paul mean by “a yoke of slavery”?
