Galatians 1:8-9, 3:1-3

Have you ever had to speak forcefully to someone as Paul did to the Galatians (in vv8-9)?  What was at stake in your case? What is at stake in the case of the Galatians? (see Gal 3:1-3).

Galatians1:6

In v6 Paul is astonished that the Galatians are “so quickly deserting the one who called you”. What does this tell us about our faith? Is it religion or relationship?

Galatians1:6-7

What does Paul mean by “a different Gospel”? How can the Gospel be made “different”? What other word does Paul use in v7 to describe how the Gospel has been altered?

Galatians 1:3

Verse 3 tells us God’s purpose in sending Jesus Christ: what was that purpose? Do you need rescuing? Give reasons for your answer.

Galatians 1:1-10

In v1 Paul tells his readers who he is, and from whom he received authority. What difference does it make where his authority comes from? (notice also v10).

What four “reigns” are spoken of in this passage? Two are the sad experience of all men.  How do the other two operate and how can we enjoy them?
