Nehemiah 9:32-38
If you were to write a prayer patterned after vv5-37, what benchmarks or signposts of God’s grace would you include? Pray as we prepare ourselves for the Lord’s Day that we may seek God’s glory solely and let Christ be the centre of all our worship and His gospel in all our activities.
Nehemiah 9:28-31
How did God respond in His grace towards Israel’s constant disobedience? Pray for all Christian parents as they face the task of bringing up children in the fear and nurture of the Lord.

What is the relationship between the three parts of the Israelites’ worship: (i) instruction from the Word, (ii) confession of sin and (iii) praise of God? Pray for our monthly lunch ministry at Tanjong Pagar that God’s Spirit will renew minds and reinforce life-transforming convictions.
Nehemiah 8:18
How important is the reading of God’s word in your own spiritual renewal? What will you do as a result of spiritual renewal? Pray that as we prepare our hearts and minds to serve God on the Lord’s day tomorrow as well as every day in our lives, we may serve faithfully and well, always mindful of \”the Day approaching\”.
Nehemiah 8:16-17
What is the significance of reviving the booths (cf. Lev 23:34-43)? Pray for the families in our midst facing financial, marital and relational problems. Ask yourself how can the knowledge of the gospel help them. Is God prompting you to be His messenger for them?
Nehemiah 8:13-15
Who came and joined in the study of the Law (v13) and what did they find written in the Law (vv14-15)? Pray for China with its over 1.3 billion people that God will continue to have mercy upon the nation and bring the people to His Son. Pray that those sharing the Gospel will do so in word and deed that examplify God’s grace.

What happened when the people truly understand the Scriptures (vv9-12 cf. Deut 16:14)? Pray as the Board meets this evening that God be present to lead and guide. Pray for Eld Harold Or as he convenes the meeting.
